Join the critically acclaimed political stand-up, Andy Zaltzman
as he records his hilarious new Radio 4 show. Ably assisted by a
strong team of comic performers, ANDY ZALTZMAN’S HISTORY OF
THE THIRD MILLENNIUM will serve up a combination of stand-up, sketches,
facts and blatant lies to round up the decade in style.
Each week Andy will examine the last 10 years in relation to the
major events, characters, trends and developments in a different
sphere of human existence, world politics, British society, the
global economy, and the general state of the planet, and looks ahead
to what the next ten years are likely to bring.
Andy has firmly established himself in the vanguard of British
stand-up with his unique brand of political comedy. Alongside John
Oliver, Andy has co-written and hosted the BBC Radio 4 show Political
Animal, and Timesonline satirical pod cast The Bugle, and starred
in three series of BBC Radio 4’s satirical show, The Department.
The best political comedian in the business, Zaltzman lets loose
a veritable torrent of jokes, facts, observations, very short stories,
silly remarks and inspired asides... Zaltzman is breathtakingly
good." Time Out
